The International Conference on Sound and Vibration (ICSV) is a high-level international academic conference initiated and organized by the International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration (IIAV). It has been held continuously for decades in the field of acoustics and vibration research. Covering various research directions such as sound and vibration, acoustic signal processing, and vibration monitoring, the conference gathers renowned experts from enterprises, research institutes, and universities around the world in the field of sound and vibration, enjoying high popularity and influence in the industry. Professor Xiang Yang from the School of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Energy Power Engineering and his doctoral student Jia Zekun attended the 31st ICSV in South Korea.

The conference was held at Songdo Convensia in Incheon, South Korea, with the agenda running from July 6 to July 11, 2025. The paper "Calculation Method for Superimposed Sound Field of Shell-Sea Pipeline System Based on Virtual Source Wave Superposition Method" submitted by Jia Zekun, a doctoral student from the School of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Energy Power Engineering, was included in the conference proceedings and presented at the T12 SS01 - Ship Underwater Radiated Noise session. The paper focuses on the calculation method of structure-fluid coupled sound field for underwater vehicles and explores in depth the influence law of through-sea fluid disturbance on the overall radiated sound field.

At this ICSV, doctoral student Jia Zekun conducted in-depth exchanges with outstanding peers from around the world, showcased research results to each other, and obtained feedback from international counterparts. He actively paid attention to and discussed hot issues in fields such as new theories of acoustic-vibration calculation, application of intelligent algorithms, and innovative applications of metamaterials in vibration and noise reduction. This conference provided a valuable learning platform for the graduate students of the college, expanded their understanding of the cutting-edge work of domestic and foreign experts, and inspired their enthusiasm for exploring future research.
