Key Laboratory of Marine Power Engineering Technology for the Transport Industry

(1) Marine Engine Monitoring and Diagnostics
Research focuses on intelligent control of marine diesel engines, monitoring and diagnostics of ship power systems, health management, and testing/verification technologies for marine power systems and equipment.

(2) Marine Engine Simulation and Control
Research covers data-driven digital twins for marine engine systems, simulation and evaluation of intelligent ship engine systems, and optimization and control of electric propulsion systems.

(3) Marine Engine Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection
Research includes diesel engine performance optimization and exhaust after-treatment, fundamental fuel properties, ship-engine-propeller matching optimization, engine thermal load and structural reliability, as well as integrated utilization of thermal and cooling energy aboard ships.

(4) Optimization Technology for Marine Shafting Engineering
Research involves dynamic design of ship shafting systems, vibration analysis and alignment of marine shafting, economic performance evaluation, and technologies for shaftless rim-driven propulsion systems.
