On the afternoon of May 16th, the "Reading Classics · Inheriting the Spark" book sharing session jointly organized by the Houde Group of the Graduate Lecturer Corps and the Marxist Theory Research Society for College Students was successfully held. As the first joint study and co-construction activity between the two parties, this event aims to promote ideological exchange and collision among members through classic reading, and jointly enhance theoretical literacy. Teacher Wang Wenqi from the library, Zhang Xiaoheng, the instructor of the Houde Group of the Graduate Lecturer Corps, Wu Siyi, the college counselor, and student representatives from undergraduate and graduate programs participated in this event.

At the sharing session site, Deng Zhipeng, the lecturer representative of the Houde Group, and Wang Zijie, the student representative, shared the precious moments of exchanges and interactions between General Secretary Xi Jinping and young students in *Xi Jinping and College Students: Friends*, allowing everyone to deeply feel General Secretary Xi Jinping's care and love for young college students. After the sharing, Deng Zhipeng said, "General Secretary Xi Jinping teaches young people to 'seek hardship for themselves.' As a member of the lecturer group, I should consciously translate these earnest instructions into action guidelines, strive to improve my theoretical literacy, and convey the Party's voice through high-quality presentations."

Zuo Siyuan, the representative lecturer of the Houde Group, and student representative Sun Shicheng shared their insights from reading Diving Deep for the Motherland - Huang Xuhua. They vividly recounted how Mr. Huang Xuhua has spent his entire life interpreting the ideal and belief of "doing earth-shattering deeds while remaining anonymous," upholding the innovative spirit of "self-reliance and arduous struggle," and practicing the revolutionary vow of "staying true to the original aspiration and keeping the mission firmly in mind." Among them, Sun Shicheng, a freshman majoring in Marine Engineering, used four phrases - "the depth of his ambition, the depth of his skills, the depth of his responsibility, and the depth of his sentiment" - to help the teachers and students present gain an in-depth understanding of the romance and perseverance of Academician Huang Xuhua, the great scientist.

Following this, He Haisen, lecturer of the Houde Youth League, delivered a speech titled "Connecting Dreams Across Continents: Infrastructure Development for National Prosperity and People's Well-being". He skillfully integrated disciplinary ideology with youth mission, using the voice of young people to narrate China's development stories, demonstrating the responsibility and commitment of contemporary youth in national construction.

After the event, teachers and students present actively exchanged and shared their insights, and wrote their reading perceptions on postcards. This book sharing session was not only a deep interpretation of classic books but also a beneficial exploration of joint learning and co-construction between the two parties. It consolidated the foundation of faith through reading classics and enhanced theoretical literacy through communicative thinking.

The School of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Energy Power Engineering has always attached great importance to reading activities for teachers and students. Relying on theoretical learning-oriented student organizations such as the Houde Group of the Graduate Lecturer Corps and the Student Marxist Theory Research Society, it has carried out regular study and sharing sessions themed on "General Secretary Xi Jinping with College Students." In the later stage, the school will continue to organize special and independent theoretical study and reading activities, guiding students to read original works, study original texts, and understand fundamental principles, so as to create a learning atmosphere of loving reading, reading good books, and reading books wisely.
