On May 10th, the school-level competition of the 18th National College Students' Social Practice and Science & Technology Competition on Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction, hosted by the Undergraduate College of the university and undertaken by the college, was successfully held at the Employment Service Plaza of Haihong Student Community in Yujiaotou Campus.
At the roadshow site, exhibition booths were set up for intelligent energy recycling devices, environmental protection material products, high-efficiency energy-saving devices, etc., attracting many students to stop and watch. "How does this equipment achieve waste heat conversion?" "Is the cost of this material high?"... In the face of questions from expert judges and students, the participating team members patiently answered and vividly explained.
In the defense session, the contestants elaborated on the design concepts, innovative points, and application prospects of their works in detail through physical displays, model demonstrations, PPT presentations and other forms. The judges conducted on-site evaluations of the participating works from multiple dimensions such as scientificity, feasibility, innovativeness and economy, and put forward valuable opinions and suggestions.
The successful holding of this competition not only provided a platform for students to showcase their innovative achievements but also further enhanced their awareness of energy conservation and emission reduction as well as their sense of social responsibility. Meanwhile, the competition promoted exchanges and cooperation across different disciplines, laying a solid foundation for cultivating high-quality talents with innovative spirit and practical capabilities.
