Recruitment Notice for Postdoctoral Researchers in the Team of Academician Liu Pengfei from the School of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Energy Power Engineering

The team of Academician Liu Pengfei from the School of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Energy Power Engineering, Wuhan University of Technology, intends to recruit 3-5 postdoctoral researchers annually at the "Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering" Postdoctoral Research Station due to research needs.

I. Recruitment Directions
Research directions related to the research and development of new technologies and products for modern zero-carbon intelligent innovative propeller systems in the field of naval architecture and ocean engineering, including but not limited to:
Ship rapidity (resistance and propulsion), zero-carbon green ship propulsion systems, high-performance computing (HPC) for ship hydrodynamics and large-scale expert system engineering software development, research and development of renewable energy devices and systems as well as comprehensive utilization of various renewable energy sources, AI & DT-enabled research and development, design optimization, performance prediction, risk assessment, prevention and handling of zero-carbon green ship propulsion systems, etc.

II. Job Responsibilities

1. Assist the research group in carrying out the research work of the undertaken projects;

2. Independently complete the writing of scientific papers and produce high-level research achievements;

3. Apply for various postdoctoral funds, National Natural Science Foundation of China and other scientific research projects;

4. Assist the team in guiding master's and doctoral students.

III. Recruitment Requirements
On the premise of meeting the basic requirements for postdoctoral admission at Wuhan University of Technology, the following conditions should be met:

1. Have firm political beliefs, love the motherland, and love the Communist Party of China; have good team spirit and dedication;

2. Have a rigorous and realistic academic attitude and pioneering and innovative scientific spirit, be able to carry out scientific research independently, be upright, have a strong sense of responsibility, and have good communication skills;

3. Have obtained a doctoral degree within 3 years or be about to obtain a doctoral degree, and engage in one of the following related professional directions: Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Artificial Intelligence and HPC, etc.;

4. Have strong ability in retrieving and reading English literature, have good Chinese and English writing skills, and have independently published medium and high-level SCI papers;

5. In principle, the age should not exceed 35 years old. If the applicant has published more than 3 high-level papers in the past 5 years or has presided over provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, the age can be relaxed to 36 years old. Be able to work full-time and stably for no less than two years.

IV. Job Benefits

1. In accordance with the relevant regulations of the university, the annual comprehensive income is 240,000-300,000 yuan (including social security, provident fund, housing monetization subsidy, etc.). Other welfare benefits shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant regulations of Wuhan University of Technology and the state (postdoctoral apartment, children's admission, etc.);

2. Provide sufficient research funding support, and assist postdoctoral researchers in the station to apply for postdoctoral funds, National Natural Science Foundation of China and other scientific research projects;

3. Provide postdoctoral research working conditions, set up research groups composed of graduate students according to research tasks to support the implementation of research tasks, and support postdoctoral researchers to participate in international academic exchanges or joint training with foreign high-level research teams;

4. Postdoctoral researchers with outstanding scientific research achievements during the station and excellent performance in the exit assessment are encouraged to take up positions in the university and will be given priority in employment under the same conditions.
