Its core products have successively won the first prize of Ningbo Municipal Science and Technology Progress (ranking first), the first prize of Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress (ranking first), and the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress (ranking first), effectively promoting technological progress within the enterprise. Regarding the highly prestigious National Science and Technology Progress Second Prize won last year, Wu Jie stated that he had faced immense pressure and made great efforts, but receiving recognition from national leaders and breaking international monopolies held significant meaning for China's shipbuilding industry, making all his efforts worthwhile.
Wu Jie excels in management and demonstrates strong innovation capabilities. For a long time, he has been committed to building and developing the "Ningdong" brand under Zhongce's self-owned portfolio. He led the company's technical team to keep abreast of international cutting-edge goals and continuously develop new products. The sales volume of multiple new products he organized, led, and participated in developing accounts for over 60% of the company's total sales, becoming a growth driver for sustainable development. Among these, the "Key Technology Research and Industrialization of High-Power Medium-Speed Marine Diesel Engines" project won the 2010 National Science and Technology Award Second Class; the "GN8320ZC4B (2795KW) Marine Diesel Engine" won the first prizes of Zhejiang Provincial and Ningbo Municipal Science and Technology Progress; the "G8300ZC30B (2206kW) Marine Diesel Engine" won the third prize of Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress and the second prize of Ningbo Municipal Science and Technology Progress. Many products have been included in the National Torch Program. The new products he organized to develop have obtained 14 authorized invention patents and utility model patents. To better promote the rapid development of the diesel engine industry, he actively promoted the establishment of the "Zhejiang Provincial Marine Power Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance" between the company and ten institutions and enterprises, including Zhejiang University and Ningbo University.
With a global perspective and scientific planning, Wu Jie timely proposed the "3-3-3" market layout strategy, namely dividing market share equally among domestic markets, African markets, and other countries and regions, blazing a path of diversified market development. Currently, the company has secured 60% of the diesel engine orders for CNOOC's key offshore platform engineering vessel projects; its products account for over 80% of the market share in inland river ships over 118 meters in length. In the African market, leveraging over a decade of development experience and advantages, it has evolved from initial single product sales and engineering contracting to cooperating with local conglomerates, establishing Zhongce (West Africa) Co., Ltd., and building a 6-square-kilometer Zhongce (West Africa) Industrial Park to implement localized manufacturing and sales in Africa. From 2009 to 2010, provincial and municipal leaders such as Governor Lü Zushan and Vice Mayor Yu Hongyi successively inspected the construction of the Zhongce (West Africa) Industrial Park. In European and other regional markets, the company has capitalized on its successfully developed waste tire pyrolysis oil generator sets (certified by EU CE) to increase sales of energy-saving and environmentally friendly new products.
