On the afternoon of June 12, Vice Dean Zhang Zunhua from the School of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Energy Power Engineering led a delegation to visit the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering of Pusan National University (South Korea) for exchange. The research team led by Professor Jong-Chun Park from the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering of Pusan National University participated in the exchange seminar.
At the meeting, Professor Jong-Chun Park from the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering of Pusan National University extended a warm welcome to Vice Dean Zhang Zunhua and his delegation, and introduced the basic situation of the department. Vice Dean Zhang Zunhua expressed his gratitude for the warm reception from the department and briefly introduced the basic information of the school in terms of faculty team, school-running scale, professional orientations, and talent cultivation. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on cooperation plans, graduate team building, and other issues, and planned to carry out academic exchange activities to promote professional cooperation.
After the meeting, Vice Dean Zhang Zunhua and his delegation visited the ship towing tank, Offshore Platform System Laboratory, Surface Application Laboratory, New Energy Power Laboratory, etc., and conducted detailed introductions and exchanges regarding the test benches.
Finally, the team from the Simulation and Innovation Laboratory of the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering of Pusan National University gave an excellent report on the latest research progress of their research group on PEM fuel cells. After the report, participants from both sides held in-depth exchanges and discussions on hot issues such as the current research status and application prospects of fuel cells.
Through this exchange, both sides have gained a more comprehensive understanding in talent cultivation, curriculum planning, major setup, etc. This is of positive significance to the discipline construction and development of our school, and has laid a foundation for further cooperation and exchanges between the School of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Energy Power Engineering of Wuhan University of Technology and the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering of Pusan National University in the future.
